My name is Sydney, and if you try to describe me in one word, it would be "energy." I'm one of those people who can't sit still, who always needs movement, sound, light, people around, and the feeling that life is happening right now. I wake up thinking that the day is bound to bring something interesting, even if it's just a spontaneous meeting with friends or a walk without a plan.
I love fun in all its forms. It's not necessarily a noisy party for me, although I love them with all my heart, too. Fun is a state of mind. This is when my friends and I can laugh at a stupid joke for ten minutes in a row. It's when someone turns on their favorite song and we start dancing right in the middle of the kitchen. This is when conversations drag on until three in the morning, and instead of getting tired, I feel a surge of strength.
I sincerely believe that the best moments of life are not expensive things or perfect photos, but people nearby. I cherish my friends and try to be as much support for them as they are for me. Yes, I like to have fun, but for me, fun is also warm. This is when we can be real, share our experiences, support each other, and then laugh again, even if the day was difficult.
Sometimes they call me the "soul of the company," and I smile because there is some truth in that. I like to bring people together. If someone feels uncomfortable in the company, I will definitely come up, talk, joke, engage in conversation. It's important to me that no one stays away. I know what it's like to feel left out, so I try to make everyone feel like they're part of something in common.
It's important for me to be around people. I get charged up from communication, from sincere smiles, from lively emotions. Sometimes it seems to me that I literally feed off the atmosphere of the company. When there's laughter and lively conversations around, I feel like I belong. I like to gather friends at home — to come up with themed evenings, cook something unusual, decorate the space with lights or candles. I like to create a mood, to be the person who says, "Let's make this evening special."
I don't like monotony. If the day starts to seem too calm, an inner voice wakes up in me, which whispers: "Sydney, it's time to change something." And I'm changing up — I suggest friends suddenly go out of town, have a picnic, go to a concert, or just go for a walk around the city at night. I like the feeling of spontaneity, when a decision is made in five minutes, and memories remain for years.
Music has a special place in my life. She is my constant companion. I turn it on when I'm going out, when I'm driving, when we're having parties. Music sets the rhythm, and I love rhythm. Sometimes I close my eyes and just move to the beat, forgetting about everything. At such moments, I feel absolutely free.
I like to photograph our meetings — not for the sake of social media, but for the sake of memory. Funny faces, disheveled hair after the wind, spontaneous hugs. I like to review these shots and remember how we laughed, how we sang together, how someone told an incredible story. I don't collect things, but moments.
Of course, I'm not always just celebrating. There are days when I feel sad or when I get tired. But even then, I try to find the light. I can call a friend and offer to meet for a cup of coffee, I can turn on a comedy or just go outside and walk briskly to clear my head. For me, movement is a way to deal with any kind of experience.
